Seeking shelter - some thoughts about risks
“No risk – no fun” is a common saying. If one loses fun in dealing with life´s imponderabilities the freedom of shaping space diminishes.Nontheless – we want to recognize risks, we want to classify them, we want to estimate their potential of threat and we want to develop strategies in order to diminish them – in brief: we seek to manage risks - indivudually and on business.
Companies face risks manifold – in technical, economic, processual and liability dimensions. The current financial crisis shows the degree of damage if risks are managed in an insufficient manner.
On May 8, 2008, PQ+ business partner Hubertus von Laer - in collaboration with Hochschule Pforzheim and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Qualität (DGQ) - organizes a conference on risk management in Pforzheim, Germany.
